Chief Executive Officer, Founder
Andy Thomas, a native of the Washington D.C. area, came to Minnesota in search of help for his own addiction and chronic mental health struggles. After successfully completing treatment, Andy earned his Bachelor of Arts from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and is a graduate of the StepUP program. After two years working in the financial services industry, Andy felt a calling to do something more and joined AirCare Health as the Director of Business Development. At AiRCare, Andy worked with providers, payers, and employers to develop solutions for chronic disease management, specializing in behavioral health. After leaving AiRCare, Andy was on site at Gray Wolf Ranch, a residential treatment program for young adults in Port Townsend, WA. There, he worked with families to find treatment and also helped to facilitate the acquisition of Gray Wolf to new ownership. After the transition, Andy decided to launch Kodiak. Andy believes in the efficacy of long term treatment but wanted to develop an integrated solution that was affordable to families but also delivered superior health outcomes. In his spare time, Andy enjoys playing golf, relaxing, and spending time with his adopted hound-mix, Hank Thomas.
